2nd Place in Denville, NJ


On Sept. 9, 2007, Avi took 2nd place for the whitebelt (6 mos.+ training) competition at the tri-school tournament at REAL WORLD MARTIAL ARTS (middleweight division 155-185 lbs.) He weighed in 168 lbs. The tournament was sponsored by the NJMMAS (NJ Mixed Martial Arts Assoc.) REAL WORLD MARTIAL ARTS is part of Team Renzo Gracie, the most successful jiu-jitsu team on the east coast.

Throw Down

This blog will chronicle Avi Meth's martial arts matches.

A brownbelt in TaeKwonDo and purplebelt in Shotokan, Avi is a former karateka of his father Sensei Clifford Meth and world famous Grand Master Richard Lenchus (Legend Shotokan). Avi is currently training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing under the personal instruction of George Sernack (a student of Renzo Gracie's).

In 2005, Avi took 3rd place (145 lbs.) at the Wittinberg Invitational Tournament at Yeshiva University.
